About Puzzleroo

Puzzleroo is a free collection of short daily puzzles: word games, geography, maths, logic and a cipher. Every game has one new puzzle a day, and it is the same puzzle for everyone, so you can compare notes with friends without spoiling anything.

How it works

A new puzzle for each game appears at midnight, UK time. The official first day is 10 November 2026.
You can play straight away as a guest. There is nothing to install or sign up for.
Finish a puzzle and you get a score out of 1,000, a streak, and a result you can share without giving the answer away.
Pick a display name to appear on the daily, weekly and monthly leaderboards, or start a private league with friends.
Create an account if you want your streaks and scores to follow you to another phone or computer.

The games

Word

LETTERS — Find the hidden six-letter word in seven tries.
NEAR — Find the secret word. Every guess is ranked by how close its meaning is.
LINKS — Sort twenty tiles into five groups of four that share a link.

Geography

OUTLINE — Name the country from its outline in six guesses.
ROUTE — Name the countries that link two others by land.
CAPITAL — Name the capital city from the outline of its country, in six guesses.

Maths

TARGET — Combine six numbers to hit the target.
EQUATE — Find the hidden equation that makes the total.

Logic & Cipher

BEACONS — Light one beacon in every row, column and region, with none touching.
MINI-GRID — A six-by-six number grid: every row, column and box holds 1 to 6 once.
CIPHER — Crack the letter-substitution code to reveal a quotation.

Where the puzzles come from

Every puzzle on Puzzleroo is our own. The number and logic puzzles are built by our own software and checked to have exactly one fair solution that needs no guessing. The word and grouping puzzles are written and checked for this site. The geography games use openly licensed map data, and the cipher uses quotations from books that are out of copyright. The sources are credited on the attributions page.

Free to play

Puzzleroo is free and will be paid for by advertising. Adverts will never cover or sit inside a puzzle, and none are shown until you have made a choice about cookies. See the privacy policy and cookie policy for the detail.
